Update on Bruz.......he's alive!....i got ahold of him through his 40 site here is his reply (aka what ever happened to Bruz)
***LOL, whats up man, of course I remember you! I still got that custom printed Hellraiser poster you printed me (I think it was you who printed that - I know you made me a small puzzle box for when I was planning on doing a custom Pinhead) set up in a MM marquee behind my Pinhead/Butterball/Chatterer/Female display... yep, I don't really collect figures anymore, but I do have a display of the classic horror movie characters still up... and I'll continue to add to it as more figures I want are made... my most recent purchases were The Toxic Avenger, Robocop, & Captain Spaulding (NECA version). I'm still looking forward to Mohawk gremlin, the Killer Klown, and maybe some other upcoming stuff (I forget at the moment what's due & I haven't quietly snuck into moviemaniacs.net or spawn.com to check in a few weeks now... but I do look every now & then to keep updated!)... I think I remember someone tipping me off about the 2nd Spawn board for the vets or something... what's the link again?? I've tried to check the original Spawn board but it's horrible, I don't like it at all anymore... Steve The Victim was awesome mod, times were great then... now it's a bazillion cheesey posts in a row getting buried faster than I can hit 'refresh', and to be honest - I don't even like McFarlane Toys anymore. I'm a bigger fan of NECA... and I even like what SOTA is doing with their horror line. McToys is still producing a bazillion sports figures (BUT NO BOXING!) which doesn't interest me, as well as a bazillion versions of Spawn (which doesn't interest me)... and making bad decisions when it comes to horror figures for the most part (the TCM remake figs as practically a whole MM series?!)... Anyway, I'll stop rambling. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
My site is prospering... ezboard (which my forum is based off of) recently got hit hard by an attack & 10,000s of my posts were lost within my 7 forums. [img]frown.gif[/img] But otherwise, 2005 is a big year for my site. 2 days ago was the official release of the 40oz Crew DVD Vol. 1 (only $14.95), and there's a lot more planned in updates for my site as well as merch/promotion-wise... Anyway the DVD is a collection of videos & stuff put together that was never intended for public release... mostly just footage from 40oz Crew get-togethers... last summer people flew in from all over to chill n' swill in Chicago for 3 days & 2 nights (members from NJ, NY, WA, FL, Washington DC, and of course the Chicago IL members)... there have been other meetings since in Montreal, NJ, FL, etc... and the next "meeting of the minds" will be this august in NYC (we're actually renting out hotel rooms in Newark NJ) for another 3 days & 2 nights...

K, I gave you the update about my toy collecting & the 40oz hobby... my personal life updates are this: since I pretty much left the spawn board I got engaged to a girl I was seeing almost 7 years, starting my freshman year of college. After about 10 months of being engaged we broke up. Even tho she was the one pushing for marriage before I was ready to consider it, and even tho we NEVER fought or had ANY problems, she got cold feet & had 2nd thoughts... we tried to give it a couple months to work itself out, but it didn't. About 3 weeks later I started dating another girl, who I'm still with (about 8 months now). I met this girl while waiting tables at a Lone Star Steakhouse, which I did for a little over a year, after quitting the bond brokerage I was working at. I quit Lone Star and am now working as a mortgage broker... it's a great job, 100% commission - but the money's amazing. I trained for 2 weeks on Wall St. in NYC (last 2 weeks of February), and started actual work in March (in our Parsippany NJ office). So it's been 3 full months & I've closed 4 deals so far with another 4 in my "pipeline" (which I'm scheduled to make about $24,000 off of!)... so it's definitely exciting & rewarding. But "it ain't easy!" (that's 1 of our classic sayings)... My current girlfriend also quit Lone Star with me & is an Account Executive at a marketing/branding company. She also has 2 sons (5 & 9 yrs old)... so although this girl is AMAZING (& HOT!) she does have baggage... but together we are great & everything is great & things are looking good [img]wink.gif[/img] This past weekend her & I went up to Montreal thursday night & came back Monday evening. It was an awesome trip, we had an extremely romantic day on Sunday, and Saturday night we even met up with 2 of my 40oz Crew (my board members) who live in Montreal to chill n' swill a bit.
So that's the lowdown on Bruz since his he went AWOL... feel free to copy & post this in that thread where I was remembered [img]wink.gif[/img] And send me a link to the forum, I'll check it out... keep in touch my man, anyone else there can as well - I'm easy to find!
